How to purchase LED bulb lamp


With the gradual maturity of LED lighting technology, a large number of LED bulb lamps have appeared in the market to replace incandescent bulbs or energy-saving lamps. In the face of all kinds of bulb lamps, how to choose?

1、 Relevant standards

At present, the following national standards have been established for LED bulb lamps:

1. GB24906-2010 Safety Requirements for Self ballasted LED Lamps above 50 V for General Lighting

2. GB/T24908-2014 Performance Requirements for Non directional Self ballasted LED Lamps for General Lighting

3. GB30255-2013 Limited Values and Grades of Energy Efficiency of Non directional Self ballasted LED Lamps for General Lighting

Among the above three standards, GB24906 and GB30255 are mandatory standards and GB/T24908 is recommended standards. GB24906 specifies the most basic electrical and mechanical safety requirements, GB30255 specifies the minimum energy efficiency requirements and energy efficiency classification of bulb lamps, and GB/T24908 specifies the luminous quality, luminous efficiency and other performance requirements of bulb lamps.

2、 Naming method

The model designation of bulb lamp consists of five parts, as shown in Figure 1. The first part BPZ is the code of bulb lamp; The second part is the luminous flux specification of the lamp; The third part is the light distribution type. There are three types, full light distribution (code: O), quasi full light distribution (code: Q) and semi full light distribution (code: S, can be omitted); The fourth part is the color characteristics of the lamp, which is represented by the combination of color rendering index code (8 for not less than 80, 9 for high color rendering index) and hue code; The fifth part is a supplementary part, which can be the lamp cap model or other information.

3、 Key indicators for purchasing

1. Light efficiency

Reflect the energy saving characteristics of the light source. The unit is lm/W. The higher the value, the better the energy saving effect of the lamp. The national standard requires that at least 60 lm/W be used. At present, many products can reach 90 lm/W, and good products can reach 110 lm/W.

2. Color rendering index

Evaluate the color rendering ability of the light source to the object. The value is 0-100. The larger the value, the closer the color response of the light source to the object is to the real color. It is generally required to be above 80, and above 90 indicates that the color rendering of the lamp is very good.

3. Service life

At present, the national standard requires the service life of LED bulb lamp to reach 25000 hours. If the lamp works 8 hours a day, it can work for nearly 8 years.
